Below you can find information you need to know about parking in the Township of West Lincoln. Our Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of municipal parking lots. If you have a concern about a parking lot, please go to Report a Concern.

Parking tickets
You can pay your parking ticket at our Township Office, drop off payment at the secure drop off box or mail your payment in the envelope provided. You have 15 calendar days from the date of the ticket infraction to make a payment.
If you disagree and want to challenge your ticket, you are required to fill out a request for screening form. Follow the instructions on the back of your ticket or email ampappeals@westlincoln.ca.

Parking rules
Review the Overnight Parking By-Law to find rules for parking overnight in the Township. Some of the Township's consolidated parking by-laws can be found on our By-laws and Policies page, however, to review our full Parking By-Law, please visit the Township Office between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Stopping, standing, or parking your vehicle is illegal in certain areas where signs are not required to be posted and you are expected to know as the driver. Examples include:
- stopping/standing/parking facing the wrong way
- stopping on a sidewalk/within crosswalk
- stopping/standing/parking not within a designated parking space
- parking within 1.5m of a driveway
- parking on shoulder/boulevard where illegal
- parking within 10m of an intersection
- parking within 3m of a fire hydrant
- parking for a period longer than 12 hours
- interfere with snow removal
Stopping, standing, or parking your vehicle is illegal in certain areas where signs are posted. Examples include:
- On-street parking between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on all roads is illegal. As you enter our Township, you will see these signs posted at the main intersections
- stopping, standing or parking in areas within a certain time frame
- fire route parking
- accessible parking
- no parking zone

Interfering with snow removal
On-street parking is prohibited in West Lincoln during a snow event until the local roads are cleared. Residents are asked to remove parked vehicles from the street before or during snowfall to allow the Township to properly clear the snow from the entire road surface.
- "Snow event" refers to any accumulation of snow that sticks to the roadway
- The fine for interfering with snow removal is $75
Any vehicle parked or standing in such a manner as to interfere with snow clearing operations may be ticketed or towed away. Vehicles that are towed may be stored in a suitable place, and all costs and charges for removing, care and storage thereof, if any, are a lien upon the vehicle.
